What is DC-761
DC-761 is a community created with the intention of providing education, support, and empowerment for African American self-determination through firearms exposure and ownership. We advocate for equitable access to 2nd amendment rights for all and seek to support members with learning how to safely purchase, possess, and use firearms for sport, recreation, and self-defense.
What is DC-761's relationship with NAAGA?
DC-761 is the Washington, DC chapter of the National African-American Gun Association (NAAGA). All members of DC-761, must be members of NAAGA and DC-761 is aligned with the mission and vision of NAAGA.
What are the benefits of being a member of DC-761?
Events and opportunities hosted by DC-761 are exclusive to members. We host monthly meetings and provide opportunities for community training, development, and access to a broader community of firearms owners.
Does membership in DC-761 require any mandatory dues or fees?
Members of DC-761 must also be members of NAAGA to join and as such must pay national dues for NAAGA membership.
DC-761 believes in providing equitable access for all members of the community and has decided to not have any mandatory chapter dues or fees for members. Instead, in the spirit of self-determination, and collective responsibility, we encourage members who are able to consider contributing financially to DC-761 to support events and initiatives, plan for future growth and development, and allow us to continue to make membership accessible to others who may not be able to contribute financially.
